About Us
Welcome to the winery at Napa Valley College. We are the first winery located on a community college campus in California to be bonded and licensed to produce and sell wine.
The Napa Valley College Winery Foundation was awarded the bond for the winery in September of 2008. The operation of the winery is fully integrated into the Viticulture and Winery Technology Instructional Program at Napa Valley College. All of the wine produced is made from grapes grown on our six acre vineyard located on the Napa Valley College Campus. Every aspect of the wine making process is completed on our campus in our own winery and cellar. Our students experience every aspect of the process from work in the vineyard to the marketing and sale of the wine.
The proceeds from the sale of our wines are used to support the educational mission of the Viticulture and Winery Technology Department. So not only will you enjoy our premium wines, but your purchases will directly assist us to train future Napa Valley grape growers and winemakers. Profits from sale of Napa Valley College Estate wines are used to make the department financially healthy in these troubled times for our economy and the schools of California. These profits enable us to acquire state-of-the-art winemaking equipment to educate our students with, making them some of the best prepared students for the wine industry. We are very grateful to those that purchase our wines and support the College.
