Dr. Ronald Kraft

Dr. Ronald Kraft became the ninth Superintendent/President of Napa Valley College. Dr. Kraft has spent over 25 years in California community colleges. His career includes tenured faculty positions in business and entrepreneurship; and administrative positions in instruction, workforce development, institutional advancement and research. Previous appointments include President/CEO at Southern California University of Health Sciences and President/CEO in the Washington State Community & Technical System. Dr. Kraft holds a bachelor’s degree in business, a master’s degree in education, and a Ph.D. in leadership. Dr. Kraft is an author, speaker and former consultant to corporations, universities and colleges. A distinguished teacher, Dr. Kraft is recognized for his lectures, books and writings on strategic planning, change management theory and practice, leadership, and entrepreneurship. He is an expert in the development of institutional systems and the processes, planning and leadership mechanisms that create momentum for change.
Paul Gospodarczyk developed a love of agriculture at his best friend’s apple orchard farm while growing up in the Midwest. That appreciation of growing and processing fruit as a small business led him to Missouri State University, where he earned a B.S. in Fruit Science and Enology. He then worked at wineries in New Zealand, Oregon, Colorado, and Oklahoma, and became a consulting winemaker for nine startup operations. He went on to earn a M.S. in Agriculture from Iowa State University and later taught Enology and Wine Service Programs at Des Moines Area Community College.
Assistant Wine Maker & VWT Instructional Assistant
Greg's winemaking career started at Storybook Mountain in 1997. Since his first harvest, his passion for winemaking has evolved into his profession. His experience encompasses a wide variety of locales including Napa Valley, the Russian River Valley, and New Zealand. Greg's previous positions include several years as the Assistant Winemaker for Folie a Deux. He has also been a cellar worker and lab technician for premium wineries including Von Strasser, Martinelli, Arista and Scott Harvey Wines. With an eye to enhancing his winemaking skills, Greg entered the Viticulture and Winery Technology program at Napa Valley College where he earned his Associate's Degree. Greg also holds a B.S. in Communications from the University of Wisconsin. In 2007, he joined the VWT department as the Assistant Winemaker/Instructional Assistant.
Molly Hodgins grew up in Albany, NY and earned a B.S. in Biology from Cornell University. She first became interested in wine through a wine tasting class at the university. Hodgins then travelled to UC Davis where she earned her M.S. in Horticulture. In 2004, she worked as a teaching assistant at UC Davis and as a viticulture intern at Silver Oak Cellars. In 2005, she also worked as a technical writer/scholar at UC Davis. After leaving the university, she worked as a viticulture assistant at Stags’ Leap Winery as a vineyard manager at Chehalem Wines, and as a viticulturist at Komes and Garvey Ranches where she managed about 500 acres of grapes.
